ParkIQ Privacy Policy
ParkIQ is used for training load tracking and session reporting. This policy describes what the app collects, what is uploaded to Teamworks AMS (Smartabase), what remains on-device, and how the data is intended to be used.
1. Overview
- ParkIQ records session metrics for training load tracking.
- ParkIQ does not read Apple HealthKit data.
- Session summaries may be uploaded to Teamworks AMS (Smartabase) for performance and training management.
2. Data Collected During a Session
- When a session is active, the app may use motion sensors, altitude, timestamps, and background location to calculate skiing and snowboarding load metrics.
- Location is used only for the active session started in the app.
- The app may calculate runs, jumps, rails, max air time, max speed, distance, vertical gain and loss, confidence score, and active duration.
3. What Is Uploaded to Teamworks AMS
- The app uploads a session summary, not the raw sensor stream.
- Uploaded fields can include athlete first and last name, sport, lift type, RTP session, RTP stage, RTP equipment, selected focuses, primary focus, run count, jump count, rail count, max air time, max speed, distance, vertical gain and loss, duration, active duration, confidence score, start and end timestamps, battery start and end, RPE, notes, and a session measurement ID.
- Raw GPS coordinates, raw GPS traces, and raw motion samples are not transmitted to Teamworks AMS.
4. What Is Not Uploaded
- Raw GPS traces and raw location coordinates are not uploaded by this app.
- Raw accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter, and movement log samples are not uploaded by this app.
5. Local Storage on Device
- If upload to Teamworks AMS fails, the app may keep the session summary locally inside the app until it can retry and complete the upload.
- If "Save data to phone" is enabled, a session summary export may be saved in Files on the device.
- If "Save movement data to phone" is enabled, a raw movement log that can include timestamped location and motion data may be saved locally in Files on the device.
- If those export toggles are disabled, those local export files are not created.
6. Credentials Stored on Device
- If "Remember me" is enabled on the sign-in screen, the Smartabase URL, username, and password are stored securely in the device Keychain until the user signs out.
- If "Remember me" is disabled, those login fields are not kept for future sessions.
7. How Data Is Used
- ParkIQ is intended for load tracking, training review, performance review, and operational follow-up.
- ParkIQ is not designed to use personal data for advertising, marketing, or sale to third parties.
8. Teamworks AMS Access and Security
- Uploaded summaries are intended to be visible only to authorized USSS staff, such as athlete coaches, A&D coaches, and authorized high performance staff, subject to the organization’s Teamworks AMS permissions.
- Teamworks states that Teamworks AMS provides permissions-based access, robust permissions, ISO/IEC 27001 and 27701 certification, SOC Type 1 and Type 2 certification, and HIPAA compliance.
- Your organization should enforce its own account security requirements, including MFA where required by policy.
